BCVA Accredited Foot Health Trainer Course and CHCSB Accredited Instructor Course (Lantra Training)
Attendance at this course will allow vets to become BCVA Accredited Foot Health Trainers and therefore deliver the Lantra-approved First Aid for Feet and Intermediate Hoof Trimming Courses in partnership with a CHCSB Approved Instructor. To be eligible to attend vets must be up to date AHDB Mobility Mentors.
This one day course will cover all aspects of delivery of the Lantra programme from set up to delivery. It will enable attendees to familiarise themselves with the structure and content of the courses alongside the materials (handouts and PowerPoints) that are supplied to assist delivery. Alongside the speakers, the CHCSB Approved Instructors will be present on the course to enable delivery teams to be established and ensure consistency in training and key messages across the delivery partnership.
There will also be a practical element involving cadaver limbs to build confidence in applying training techniques and ensure consistency when assessing competency levels at the end of each of the Lantra-approved courses.
