Graduated 1991 from Liverpool Vet School, I began in Cheshire mixed practice which remained my work for 16 years with a growing emphasis on farm animal work. Joined the Liverpool School of Veterinary Science in 2007 as a clinical teacher, gaining my CertCHP in 2008 and DBR in 2012 which led to RCVS specialist status being awarded. I am now a senior lecturer in Livestock and One Health, with interests in assisting my research colleagues where I can. I am the coordinator for the CertAVP (Cattle) and exam coordinator for the synoptic exam in the subject, as well as being an examiner and supervisor on the DBR. I have been a RCVS visiting panel member for the accreditation of UK and non-UK vet schools as well as formerly sitting on the RCVS Primary Qualifications Subcommittee. I maintain my clinical interests being a part of our Out of Hours practice team and ministering to the cattle comprising my husband Thomas and family’s dairy herd. Outside of work we enjoy our two horses and dog, playing badminton with friends, and our annual skiing holidays; I love being a very active member of our local award winning drama group, and singing for fun has led me acquire my Diploma of Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
