BCVA HQ Manager Celebrates Silver Anniversary

Submitted by bcvaadmin2 on

April 1st isn’t the most auspicious date to start a new job, but on that day in 1998 Dee Little took on the role of supporting the board and providing a service to every BCVA member who needed to be able to pick up the phone and get advice. This was particularly invaluable just a few years later, in 2001, when Dee was on hand to help our profession brace itself during the devastating outbreak of foot and mouth - and now she’s been here for all the profession’s highs and lows for 25 years.

“There really isn’t a way to simply define Dee’s role within the organisation” says current President, Colin Mason, “she manages membership, oversees Congress, helps organise CPD, handles our finances, is PA to the Board, and performs an invaluable HR function for the three staff that now complete our team at our headquarters in Gloucester.

“Dee is a passionate advocate for farm animal vets and takes care of the association’s volunteers like they are her adopted family. Her bond to BCVA is unquestionable and 25 years’ worth of Board members have come to find her support invaluable. The association is better off for that April 1st hiring, and we shall be forever grateful for every year she gives us. Dee may be Little, but her contribution to BCVA has been mighty.”
