Kat joined the George Vet Group in September 2011 after studying at Bristol, where she intercalated in microbiology. She was raised on a dairy farm, and now owns Aberdeen Angus with her family. Kat's main passion is dairy youngstock rearing, she launched The George Heifer Rearing Scheme in April 2012. She has a keen interest in research in practice and was awarded a MSD Ruminant Bursary to investigate colostrum cleanliness and its effect on calf immunity. Kat has presented several posters and workshops at BCVA congress and has carried out a number farmer courses as well as vet CPD events.
