Elizabeth grew up in the north of England and went to Liverpool University. On qualifying she spent five years full time and a further seven years part time as a locum in a variety of mixed practices.
She started at Milk Marketing Board/Genus, running a mastitis consultancy service and laboratory and technical support. In 2002 Elizabeth completed a PhD in mastitis epidemiology and stayed in research until 2008.
She seems to have done just about everything that a veterinary degree allows, including working for the NHS in R&D and she still sits on a NHS R&D panel on blood stream infections.
Now Elizabeth works for a small pharmaceutical company Animax Ltd in a variety of areas and in her spare time enjoys skiing, out-door activities but also enjoys knitting and such like.
