BCVA Education Working Group
Leads – Laura Randall and Owen Atkinson
The Education Group represent and support members by:
- Signposting lifelong learning for cattle practitioners
- Delivering high quality, independent CPD for cattle practitioners to support lifelong learning;
- Undergraduate support (for example, congress student stream, careers fair support)
- Foundation courses
- Advanced practitioner courses
- Masterclasses
- Annual BCVA congress
- Representing BCVA on education related matters within the wider industry, for example producing educational materials to support disease control programmes
- Collaborate with other BCVA working groups to deliver relevant CPD courses/produce CPD materials
- Working and liaising with other specialist divisions and organisations to identify and fill gaps in CPD provision for cattle vets
- Providing Cattle Practice as an evidence based resource for knowledge transfer
