Are you worried about being asked to do a pig post mortem or what samples to collect? This 1-day course will take you through gross post mortem technique, as well as providing opportunity for a practical PM and correct sample collection skills. We will also cover notifiable diseases and how to look for them in both the live animal and carcass.
This course is specifically for experienced vets interested in taking an in-depth approach to leadership in herd health. A one-day course getting to grips with Beef Herd Health Planning and addressing real life scenarios of how you can help when things go wrong. We offer hands-on investigation into beef farm data and tips on where to start. The afternoon offers on-farm practical learning of how and when to carry out pre-breeding checks and pelvic measuring.
Registration is now OPEN for the Goat Veterinary Society Summer Conference, this year to be held in the historic town of Harrogate in Yorkshire. The Conference is open to GVS members and non-members, vets and all with an interest in the health and welfare of goats. The conference consists of two days: day one starts with an afternoon farm walk at a nearby goat dairy, with presentation stations from guest speakers, followed by an evening drinks reception and 3 course meal. Day two consists of a day of speaker presentations.
