Future of farm vets celebrated at FAVS

Submitted by bcvaadmin2 on

February began with one of the most important weekends for veterinary students looking to pursue a career in farm practice. BCVA Board members were delighted to support the delegates at the Farm Animal Veterinary Student Congress in Nottingham.

More than 250 students from around the UK attended and BCVA was proud to be a sponsor for the weekend. Board member Sara Pedersen, RCVS-recognised specialist in cattle health and production, was also involved in running six foot trimming practicals alongside James Wilson from Nottingham University.

“The weekend was a huge success and extremely well run by the Nottingham FAVS group in conjunction with the National FAVS Committee” Sara reported, “I was proud to be there representing BCVA to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to support the next generation of farm vets. We look forward to seeing many of them again at future events, including our own Congress and Young Vets weekends.”
